Picturesque coves are ideal for bathers looking for loneliness and peace. During the Middle Ages, the Šibenik noble families lived on the island and took shelter from the plague. Prvić is the island of Faust Vrančić, a scientist, historian, linguist, philosopher, mathematician and physicist who lived in the 17th century, was born in Šibenik and spent his childhood on the island. He died in Venice, and was, according to his wish, buried on the island in the church of St. Mary of Grace in Prvić Luka. Faust Vrančić Memorial Center was built in Prvić Luka.
