The City of Šibenik advises all visitors and road users that temporary traffic restrictions will be in place on 4 and 5 August 2026 in connection with the Marko Perković Thompson concert, scheduled to take place on 4 August 2026 at Šubićevac Stadium.
Roads in the immediate vicinity of the concert venue will be temporarily closed, and traffic on several routes throughout the city will be significantly affected.
As the event coincides with the peak of the tourist season, exceptionally heavy traffic is expected in the days leading up to the concert, particularly on 4 August. Increased volumes of both vehicle and pedestrian traffic are anticipated throughout the City of Šibenik and on all major approach routes, including State Roads D8, D33, D58, D27, D531 and D554, as well as the A1 Motorway.
To minimise delays, motorists are strongly advised to use the A1 Motorway whenever possible, rather than State Road D8 (the Adriatic Highway), where substantial congestion is expected.
Travellers heading to Žaborić, Grebaštica, Primošten, Rogoznica and Trogir are advised to leave the A1 at the Prgomet Interchange, instead of using the Šibenik or Vrpolje interchanges.
Visitors staying in the City of Šibenik are encouraged to use public transport when travelling to and from local beaches, as a significant increase in traffic is expected on roads leading into the city and towards the concert venue.
