Raslina


Raslina is a village on the western coast of Prokljan Lake. It was mentioned for the first time in 1298, when the Šibenik diocese was established.

 

Raslina is a village on the western coast of Prokljan Lake. It was mentioned for the first time in 1298, when the Šibenik diocese was established.

In 1457 the church of St. Michael was built, and in the beginning of the 16th century, in order to defend from the Turks, the Raslina fortress was built with solid walls and defence towers. In World War II it was burnt to the ground. Today, Raslina is a tourist destination known for its fish specialties and quality wines.
